Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GPS ocean wave measuring method for mounting a stand-alone GPS receiver to a buoy, acquiring a period of an ocean wave from a fluctuation of the buoy based on a GPS signal received by the receiver, and also acquiring a wavelength and a wave speed based on the period. SOLUTION: A vertical movement data of the GPS buoy is acquired based on the GPS signal received by the stand-alone GPS receiver 2 mounted in the buoy 1. A frequency corresponding to a peak value of wave height power of the ocean wave is identified and the period of the ocean wave corresponding to the frequency is determined by analyzing a spectrum of the vertical movement data.
