SOLUTION: This device includes a first stopper 12 disposed so as to integrally move with a movable side bell holder 4, a second stopper 13 disposed so as to integrally move with a grinding device, and a lever 11 pivotally attached through a spindle 10 fixed at an intermediate portion of the first stopper 12 and the second stopper 13. The lever 11 rotates with the movement of the movable side bell holder 4 by supporting so that a first contact portion 11a on the one end side may be brought into constant contact with the first stopper. It is constituted so that a clearance between the second contact portion 11b on the other end side and the second stopper 13 may become directly proportional to the thickness of the lens when the lens is clamped by the fixed side bell holder 1 and the movable side bell holder 4.
