description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both of simplicity and assembling ability of a flapper pivotally supporting mechanism of an insertion door attached to a front mask in a bank bill identification device and to improve the insertion hole door and its journaling structure for securing a high anti-theft property when it is mounted on a vending machine. SOLUTION: This bank bill identification device used to be mounted to an outside door of the vending machine is provided with the resin molding front mask 9, in which a bill insertion hole 10 is opened on the front face of a device main body including a conveying part, an identification part, and a storage part for bank bills, and a flapper type insertion hole door 11 arranged on the front face of the bill insertion hole and opened/closed in the vertical direction for shutting out rain/dust. The insertion hole door is formed into an L-shape protruding its bent corner forward so that a grip part 11a at the tip of the insertion hole door is protruded forward. The pivotally supporting mechanism is constructed of one-joint structure, and a supporting shaft 15 connected to the door upper edge is inserted into a bearing part 16 having a C-shaped cross section formed in the opening upper edge of the bill insertion hole integrally with the front mask to be pivotally supported and held freely openably.
