description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting clogging in a suction channel, which is unaffected by raise of pressure in the suction channel at a start timing of sucking, when the clogging or the like in the suction channel is detected by using rates of pressure changes in the suction channel during a period when sample liquid is sucked, and also to provide an efficient apparatus for sucking the sample liquid and an efficient system for measuring a biological sample, which can accurately judges the suction of the sample liquid by using the detecting method. SOLUTION: In the detecting method, sensing the pressure in the suction channel is not carried out at the start timing of sucking (S20), and sucking is once suspended (S30), or sucked sample liquid is discharged, and then, the clogging in the suction channel is detected (S50) by sensing the pressure during a period when the sample liquid is sucked again (S40), thereby enabling the sample liquid to be sucked while preventing false detections caused by the raise of pressure at the start timing of the sucking. Furthermore, in both the apparatus for sucking the sample liquid and the system for measuring the biological sample which suck the sample liquid by using the sucking method, the suction of the sample liquid is accurately judged, thereby improving the efficiency.
