LEVEL GAUGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain a level gauge that ensures a specified pulling strength and can easily fix a gauge member to a handle by a method other than an insert molding. SOLUTION: A fitting section 34 communicating with an insertion section 32 for inserting a gauge member 20 is provided in the handle 22. The gauge member 20 is inserted from the insertion section 32 for pressing to a push nut 36 while the push nut 36 is being press-fitted to the fitting section 34, thus radially expanding the center section of the push nut 36, allowing the inner edge section of the push nut 36 to bite into the outer periphery surface of the gauge member 20, preventing the gauge member 20 from retracting, locking the gauge member 20, and hence fixing the gauge member 20 to the handle 22. The gauge member 20 is simply press-fitted to the push nut 36 fitted to the fitting section 34, thus fixing the gauge member 20 to the handle 22. Additionally, the specified pulling strength can be ensured as compared with when the gauge member 20 is fixed to the handle 22 by welding. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
