ON-VEHICLE UNIT FOR AUTOMATIC CHARGE COLLECTING SYSTEM OF PORTABLE TELEPHONE WITH IC TAG AND ITS INSTALLATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle unit for an automatic charge collecting system utilizing the electronic mail function of a portable telephone incorporated with an IC tag. SOLUTION: An IC tag to communicate by 5.8GHz with a roadside unit is incorporated in a portable telephone to perform the discrimination of a vehicle by the roadside unit and the recording of charge announcement information by an on-vehicle unit. A settlement system by a conventional credit card is stopped, and the charge announcement information is automatically read by a plurality of programs incorporated in the portable telephone, and transferred to a mail server exclusive for a charge collecting company with an electronic mail. Then, the charge is collected based on the information, and paid to a public cooperation in a batch. Thus, it is possible to construct a new automatic charge collecting system.
