APPARATUS FOR MIXING POWDER AND LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspending/dissolving apparatus which is not operated batch-wisely, in which powder is not scattered when powder is mixed with a liquid by agitation, which is not complicated, in a pipe of which pressure is hardly fluctuated, in which the flow rates of the liquid and the powder are controlled easily, a solid-liquid contacting pipe of which is hardly clogged and with which the mixed suspension or solution can be prepared to has a high powder concentration. SOLUTION: The subject mixing apparatus is used for preparing the solution or slurry 9 continuously by mixing the powder with the liquid 2 like an in-line mixer. This mixing apparatus is provided with the solid-liquid contacting pipe 5 composed of a cylindrical header to be used as a flow passage of the liquid 2 and the solution or slurry 9 and a cylindrical branched pipe which is connected to the outer periphery of the header perpendicularly or obliquely to the header and is used as a flow passage of the powder. A vertical uniaxial eccentric screw pump 7 is arranged on the upstream side of the branched pipe for transferring the powder quantitatively to the pipe 5. A metering pump 6 is arranged on the downstream side of the pipe 5 for making the internal pressure of the pipe 5 negative and transferring the liquid 2 qualitatively to the pipe 5.
