description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy by increasing S/N ratios of an apparatus for noninvasively measuring glucose concentrations. SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring the glucose concentrations is provided with a light emitting section 14 which is disposed on a surface of a living body and irradiates the inside of the living body with near-infrared light, a light receiving aperture section 12 wherein a detector 13 detecting light at the outside of the living body, which diffuses in or passes through the living body, is disposed, and a calculating device 29 which obtains the glucose concentration in the living body based on received light signals detected by the detector 13. In the apparatus, a plurality of light emitting sections 14 are arranged in the circumferential direction on the periphery of the light receiving aperture section 12, and optical axes of the light emitting sections 14 are set sideling in relation to the center axis of the detector 13 so that the optical axes intersect with each other at the center axis of the detector 13.
