Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display which can inhibit the short circuit between matrix electrodes and can prevent the occurrence of image display defects. SOLUTION: A metal oxide such as SiOxand Al2O3or a nitride such as SiON and Si3N4with a thickness of about 100 nm to about 1 μm are directly formed at an end of a first electrode 105, and the entire organic EL display is configured to be sealed by a sealing glass 112 via this inorganic film layer 113. By such a configuration, in the sealing step, the short circuit between electrodes is eliminated even if conductive particles are sealed at the first electrode 105 present in a sealing region while adhered thereto so that the organic EL display which can inhibit the short circuit between matrix electrodes and can prevent the occurrence of image display defects, can be provided.
