description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener tape for a knitted/woven fastener stringer whose linearity is secured after sewing, having the forward packer form in which a tape body is slightly waved as an element attaching margin part is slightly dented and curved after the element is attached by utilizing the difference in the extension recovery factor R. SOLUTION: In the tape for the slide fastener, at least part of component threads 6a, 6b and 16a of the element attaching margin parts 4 and 14e extending/disposed in the radial direction, adjacent to the outside of core strings 7a, 7b and 17 woven or knitted in the element attaching margin part 4, are threads with a larger extension recovery factor R expressed by the following formula 1 measured according to JIS L1096 compared with that of the extension recovery factors of all the other component threads 6c-6n, 6o-1, 6o-2, 16b-, and core strings 7a, 7b and 17 extending/disposed in the radial direction. The formula 1 is expressed by: R=ä(L1-L2)/(L1-L0)}×100. In the expression, L0 is the original thread length; L1 is the thread length when pulled with a prescribed tension force; L2 is the thread length after the extension recovery without tension force.
