SOLUTION: In the cover for refining made of the fire-proof material, its flat part is 1.4 m or more apart from a melted metal surface. In this regard, the flat part means a part whose rising angle is 45° or less. In the stud used for the refractory work, an attachment part to the iron shell is 20 mm or longer and in a shape (LV stud) formed with a rod-like steel in a V-shape joined to the attachment part to the iron shell or a shape (U stud) formed with both end parts of the attachment part to the iron shell raised as a U-shape.
