description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition for afterward bonding a gasket material for sealing water generated in a proton-exchange membrane fuel cell, a gas used in the reaction and cooling water to a separator formed by carbon, a metal or the like. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition is obtained by using a bisphenol A-type epoxy resin as a principal component and polyamideamine or polythiol as a curing agent, wherein the principal component and the curing agent are mixed in the ratio of 30/70 to 70/30, preferably 50/50. Thereby, even in a soaking test in hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid or LLC, the gasket never peels off from the separator and satisfactory adhesiveness is maintained to say nothing of initial adhesiveness.
