Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron gasket usable in place of a copper gasket. SOLUTION: This gasket 1 comprises an iron sealing face having a hardness of 50 to 100 Hv. The sealing face of the gasket 1 is used between two flanges 2a and 2b having projected parts (6a, 6b) formed on the sealing surface, and deformed by the projected parts 6a and 6b when the flanges 2a and 2b are tightened.
