METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method in which a separation part 30 to be separated of one glass substrate 15 is cut off and a terminal connection part of the other glass substrate 11 is exposed without being affected by a peripheral sealant 24 between two sheets of the glass substrates 11, 15. SOLUTION: First scribe lines 29, 29 are formed on the two sheets of the glass substrates 11, 15 stuck to each other via the peripheral sealant 24 along lines on both sides of a strip-shaped substrate part 26 to be cut off. A second scribe line 31 is formed on a side of the one glass substrate 15 inside the strip-shaped substrate part 26, more inside than the first scribe line 29, via the separation part 30 to be separated. A third scribe line 32 is formed inside the peripheral sealant 24 of the one glass substrate 15 across the first scribe line 29 on a side of the strip-shaped substrate part 26 and the second scribe line 31.
