description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor for a detoxifying apparatus capable of measuring temperature in a treating cylinder accurately over a long period of time while preventing a solid matter from sticking to the temperature sensor. SOLUTION: This temperature sensor for a detoxifying apparatus is provided with a protective tube 14 covering the periphery of a bar-like temperature measuring part 13 inserted in the treating cylinder 12 of the detoxifying apparatus, piercing the cylinder wall of the treating cylinder 12, and a gas supply means 15 for allowing protective gas to flow through toward the interior of the treating cylinder from the outside of the treating cylinder through the protective tube. The protective gas is blasted at constant flow velocity from the tip of the protective tube to prevent the solid matter produced in detoxifying treatment, from sticking to the temperature measuring part.
