description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted radar installation wherein deterioration in detection performance due to adhesion of snow and ice is hard to occur. SOLUTION: In a radar having a housing 1 for housing a high frequency circuit and the like and a radome 3 for protecting a transmission/reception antenna, a linear thermal conductor 23 composed of a carbonaceous material having a thickness of not more than a quarter of a wavelength λ of a frequency in use, a high thermal conductivity and a lower radio wave absorbance than that of a metal is disposed as a part of the radome opposite to a face 2 of the transmission/reception antenna in a mesh-like form with mesh sizes of larger than the wavelength of the frequency in use. A heating means 22 is disposed in close contact with a part of the conductor 23 so as to transmit its heat to the conductor 23 to melt the snow and ice adhering on the surface of the radome.
