description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation membrane module having hollow fibers which has excellent joint characteristics in hollow fiber-stuck parts. SOLUTION: This separation membrane module is obtained by gathering a plurality of hollow fibers so that the outside of one hollow fiber is stuck closely to that of another hollow fiber and hot-welding the outsides of the gathered hollow fibers by heating and fusing them. In the concrete, the end parts of a plurality of the hollow fibers are inserted into a sheath and connected airtightly to the sheath, the portion near the sheath is heated until such the temperature that the surface of the hollow fiber is melted while decompressing the space formed between the sheath and the hollow fibers so that the outside of one hollow fiber is hot-welded to that of another hollow fiber and the hollow fibers are integrated.
