WN GEAR COUPLING AND BOGIE FOR RAILWAY VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sealing ability in a WN gear coupling with structure in which vibration and noise is effectively suppressed. SOLUTION: The WN gear coupling comprises outer cylinders 23a, 24b fitted to each end of a motor shaft 1 and small-sized gear shaft 2 via flanges 22a, 22b to form a pair, inner cylinders 24a, 24b including external gears 24aa, 24ba each engaging with internal gears 23aa, 23ba provided in internal peripheral surfaces of these outer cylinders 23a, 23b to form a pair in a freely movable manner, and sealing members 26 fitted to portions between the paired outer cylinders 23a, 23b and inner cylinders 24a, 24b. A mutually fastened portion of the paired inner cylinders 24a, 24b is not protruded from a core portion of the inner cylinder 24a, 24b. As a result, the sealing members need not be assembled with its inner periphery extended in their assembling, so that the sealing members is used which has such a high strength that the inner peripheral portion caused by displacement and centrifugal force in rotation is prevented from enlarging, thus improving sealing property.
