METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REMOTELY MONITORING POSITION OF MOVING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for remotely monitoring the position of a moving body spatially and temporally uniformly with a smaller number of times of communications. SOLUTION: A characteristic configuration method is adopted which remotely monitors the position of the moving body α by a server 1, by reporting information on the position at the present time of the moving body α to the server 1 via a communication network 3 for the moving body from the side of the moving body α, every time when a report determination condition is satisfied by movement of a predetermined distance, which is learned from a travel distance computed by a terminal device 5, on the basis of a result obtained by periodically measuring the position by a position measuring apparatus 4 on the side of the moving body α.
