Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of analyzing impurity element in metallic sodium wherein operation is safe, the amount of sample is unlimited, and analysis accuracy is enhanced. SOLUTION: This method comprises: an alcoholate generating process (S101) for generating alcoholate by dissolving the metallic sodium 11 little by little in an alcohol (such as ethanol) 12, a water dissolution process (S102) for obtaining a dissolution substance 15 by dissolving the alcoholate 13 in water 14 added thereto, an alcohol removal process (S103) for removing the alcohol 12 by heating the obtained water dissolution substance 15, a pH adjustment process (S104) for adjusting an alcohol-removed specimen 16 so that it has pH of 4 or more, a chelate condensation process (S105) for trapping the impurity elements into a chelate resin by putting the chelate resin 18 in a pH-adjusted solution 17 and agitating it, and an analysis process (S106) for analyzing the impurity elements in the chelate resin by various analysis means after a chelate resin 19 with the impurity elements trapped therein is recovered by filtration.
