Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable telephone and a slave unit in which volume control operation can be carried out readily during service without separating the face or changing the holding hand. SOLUTION: Telephone communication, or the like, is transmitted/received to/from a master unit 14 by radio and two rotary operation keys 20a and 20b having at least a common function of volume control are provided on the opposite sides of the casing of the slave unit 11.
