Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultracompact and high-gain antenna. SOLUTION: A conductive film which exhibits a permittivity of the order of 8 and on both sides of which microstrips are constituted is formed. Its open end is connected to a bias source through a serial circuit of two pairs of variable capacity diodes and resistances. One of the variable capacity diodes and a ground is connected by a variable capacity diode in the reverse direction to obtain a tuning capacitance. The capacity of the variable capacity diodes changes with bias voltage, and tuning frequency as an antenna can be changed. The other variable capacity diode is used for matching adjustment. In this way, a tunable antenna of a size mountable in a shield case of a television tuner which can be tuned for UHF band of TV broadcast can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
