SOLUTION: The skin care preparation having high aging-preventive effect is obtained by formulating the extract of a plant belonging to the genus Lycopodium L. based on the finding that, surprisingly, said extract has markedly antioxidative and enderonic fibroblast- and epidermal cell-activating effects, as a result of screening substances having effective activating actions with said effects as indicators.
