description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent electric corrosion of electrodes caused by being exposed to open air in a liquid crystal display element provided with an air passage communicating with the open air through the inside of a display part in a hole part sealing material for forming a through-hole. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display element provided with an air passage 15 communicating with the open air through the inside of a display part in a hole part sealing material 14 for forming a through-hole, both a common electrode C and a segment electrode are wired avoiding the air passage 15. Moreover, it is made possible to drive the common electrode C with a single common driver 18 by making the common electrode C detour along around the through-hole 16 from one first display part DU divided by the air passage 15 and guiding the electrode C into the other second display part DL.
