description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which does not kink during use, and is easily packed at the time of packaging. SOLUTION: In a catheter body 21, a discharge port 33, a contrast agent- injecting port 34 and an air-injecting port 35 are arranged on the center line of the cross section of the catheter body 21 from one having a largest port diameter in order. In addition, all ports including balloon air-injecting ports 36a and 36b are formed into a symmetrical shape regarding the center line of the catheter body 21. Thus, space sections formed by respective ports on the cross sectional area of the catheter body 21 and a non-space section formed by the thickness are arranged with a favorable balance, and a bending stress is not localized, and the stress evenly works. Therefore, the kink-resistance is increased. At the same time, a deferent tube 24, a contrast agent-injecting tube 23 and an air-injecting tube 22 which are provided on the extensions of the discharge port 33, the contrast agent-injecting port 34 and the air-injecting port 35 while being connected with those ports are planarly arranged in parallel. Therefore, packing becomes easier, and the packaging when the product is shipped out is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
