PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera having a function for automatically classifying photographed images so as to be easily used by a user at the point of time when the images are photographed. SOLUTION: The images photographed with an image fetching device 2 are classified into a plurality of categories on the basis of a time interval or photographing period set in an initialization processing part 7, and the images are displayed on a screen so that the user can easily handle the images. When the photographed images are reproduced for display after the images are photographed, a series of the images photographed at close times can then be easily selected without being affected by the points of time when the images are photographed, and the trouble of user's image confirming work can be greatly eliminated.
