description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate an electric conductor assembly and a flexible circuit to a bulk head connector into an E-block at the outside of a drive mechanism housing before incorporating the E-block into a disk drive. SOLUTION: The electric conductor assembly includes: a slot in an actuator arm; a long and narrow flexible conductive sleeve piece having a plurality of electric conductors whose ends are connected to a converter; a plurality of tabs connected to the other ends of the electric conductors; and a fin which extends in the slot from the conductive sleeve piece opposed to the tab, and is engaged with the slot. The rigid mounting of the ends of the electric conductors to the flexible circuit and the tension of the electric conductors suppress the detachment of the fin. The electric conductor assembly electrically connects the converter supported by the actuator arm of the E-block to the flexible circuit whose ends are mounted to the E-block. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
