SOLUTION: This oxyalkylene group-containing polyvinyl alcohol-based resin is obtained by saponifying an oxyalkylene group-containing vinyl ester- based copolymer which is obtained by copolymerization while feeding an oxyalkylene group-containing monomer, a vinyl ester monomer and a polymerization catalyst to a polymerization system by a continuous drip or a multifractionated drip.
