MEMORY CONTROLLER, MEMORY SYSTEM, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory controller capable of forming an invisible region inhibiting reading and/or writing of data by an ordinary user. SOLUTION: The memory controller controls access to a flash memory 3 by a host computer 5 and is provided with an invisible region setting part 13 defining a scope usable as a user region 21 among recording regions included in the flash memory 3 and a control part 10 for feeding the maximum value m of logical address constituting the user region 21 to the host computer 5. Consequently, since only the scope defined as the user region 21 by the invisible region setting part 13 is seen from a host computer 5 side, it is possible to form the invisible region 22 in which reading and/or writing of data by the ordinary user are inhibited.
