PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-growing container capable of performing the cultivation by piling a plural number of containers up for increasing the volume efficiency of a cultivating installation and operating without harming seedlings on transplanting plant seedlings or taking out the grown plant seedlings. SOLUTION: This plant-growing container consisting of a cylindrical container body having an upper opening part capable of housing a plant growing medium and a lid body for closing the upper opening part of the container body is characterized by arranging an air-ventilating filter at the side of the container main body higher than the upper surface of the plant-culturing medium or at the side surface of the lid body in the case of housing the maximum desired amount of the plant-growing medium in the container body, and the method for growing the plant by using the container is also provided.
