Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of preventing internal shortcircuiting while a rise of the inner resistance is suppressed. SOLUTION: The flat non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is configured so that a negative electrode case 5 made of metal to serve also as a negative electrode terminal and a positive electrode case 1 made of metal to serve also as a positive electrode terminal are fitted together through an insulating gasket 6, followed by sealing, and inside it a bunch of electrodes including a negative electrode 4, positive electrode 2 and separator 3 and a non-aqueous electrolyte are accommodated, and a positive electrode constituent and negative electrode constituent having electric conductivity are exposed at the outermost part of the bunch of electrodes and connected with the positive electrode case and negative electrode case, respectively, wherein the positive electrode constituent and negative electrode constituent having electric conductivity at the outermost part of the bunch of electrodes are covered with an insulating tape over a range of 10-50% by area rate, and thereby internal shortcircuiting is prevented and a rise of the inner resistance is suppressed.
