Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent troubles, e.g. melting of an ink sheet, upon occurrence of power interruption during print operation. SOLUTION: A switching circuit 8 is provided in the power supply circuit of motors for driving the thermal head, print sheet and ink sheet of a printer and its control circuit. The switching circuit 8 is connected with a main power supply 1 and a battery 3 and controlled with the output from an AND circuit 7 receiving two output signals from a power interruption detecting circuit 5 and a print operation state detecting circuit 6 such that power is normally supplied from the main power supply 1 and supplied from the battery 3 for a predetermined time only when power interruption occurs during print operation.
