Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously achieve a lighter weight, thinner thickness and higher thermal resistance with an electrode substrate for a display element. SOLUTION: The substrate 1 for the display element is constituted by using a base material 2 consisting of an inorganic-organic hybrid material of an epoxy-silicon system and disposing an electrode 5 on the base material 2. The provision of the substrate for the display element of high transmittance simultaneously satisfying the high heat resistance possessed by the inorganic material, such as glass and the difficulty in breaking and lightweightness possessed by the organic material, such as a resin, is made possible.
