description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving work robot with functions of working such as cleaning and moving, which can automatically detect influence of the grain of a carpet to automatically control the moving trajectory. SOLUTION: This moving work robot is equipped with a run control means 32 to control running of the main body 11, an angle detecting means 22 to detect a rotation angle of the support shaft 20 of wheels 16, and a work means 27 to work. The run control means 32 makes the main body 11 run straight in the target direction based on output of a direction measuring means 30 and correct the target of the straight running based on output of the angle detecting means 22. The direction and the strength of the grain of a carpet can be detected by a rotation angle of the support shaft 20 to further enable straight running with corrected influence of the grain of a carpet. Thus a moving work robot which is prevented from leaving a not-cleaned area or lowering work efficiency can be realized.
