Supporting points are provided near the lowest end of the inner side of the upper steel pipe pillar 8 for adjusting the verticality of the upper steel pipe pillar 8 by sloping it. In a state that the steel pipe 12 of the lower steel pipe pillar 7 is fitted into the lower hole of the upper steel pipe pillar 8, the handle 6 of the tool 1 for erecting a pillar mounted on respective sides of the lower steel pipe pillar 7 is wheeled to press or withdraw the front end face of an adjusting bolt 4 to or from respective sides of the upper steel pipe pillar 8, so that the slope of the upper steel pipe pillar 8 is adjusted.
