Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a new whitening agent capable of reducing labor of a person performing treatment when discolored teeth are decolored and reducing a temporal and an economical load on a patient, and if necessary, simply usable at one's home by the patient without visiting a hospital, and a method for bleaching the teeth using the whitening agent. SOLUTION: This dental whitening agent comprises polyaniline and water containing dissolved oxygen as active ingredients. The teeth are bleached by coating the surface of discolored teeth with the polyaniline and water containing the dissolved oxygen, keeping the teeth for a time sufficient to generate active oxygen, repeating the operations a plurality of times, then washing the polyaniline with water and removing the polyaniline.
