description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical sheath pipe jacking method adaptable to rolling during a jacking operation and capable of inserting a pipe and a joint while ensuring sufficient elongation which is the most important requirement for earthquake resistance in a non-cut-and-cover method in which a fluid transport pipe used for water supply, gas and sewage is buried underground. SOLUTION: In the pipe jacking method for newly providing a piping passage by a main pipe in a sheath pipe while inserting a pipe insertion side into a socket provided on a rear end of a preceding pipe and joining it therewith, a plurality of trucks having omni-wheels provided as traveling wheels are connected at predetermined intervals in a direction-changeable manner, and the main pipe is supported by receiving bases provided on the trucks. By providing a jacking force to the trucks, the main pipe is advanced into the sheath pipe, and after completing jacking, the main pipe is unsupported from the trucks, and the trucks are pulled out of the sheath pipe.
