PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness and size of a coil by making a coil wire easily connectable to terminal members and, at the same time, suppressing the occurrence of a floating mounting phenomenon on a circuit board, etc. SOLUTION: The coil is provided with a core member 3, a coil 2 constituted by winding the coil wire 7 composed of a plurality of conductors 7a-7n around the core section 8 of the member 3, and at least a pair of terminal members 5a and 5b which are assembled with the core member 3 in a state where the members 5a and 5b are insulated from each other. Each terminal member 5 has a slit 13 which has an opened end at the free end of the member 5 and into which the coil wire 7 is inserted. Since the coil wire 7 is inserted into each terminal member 5 from the opened end side of the slit 13, the wire 7 can be connected to the member 5 without performing any winding work.
