DRAINAGE CANAL FOR SCALE WATER IN CONTINUOUS CASTING FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage canal for scale water in a continuous casting facility whose execution time and execution expense can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the drainage canal for scale water, which is arranged below a cast slab drawing guide zone in the continuous casting facility and through which the scale water is shedded toward the deepmost part arranged at the intermediate part from the shallowest part at both ends and is discharged from the deepest part to the outside, an outlet side drainage canal 1 between the shallowest part and the deepest part at the outlet side is constituted of a primary pit 3 extending at a prescribed gradient from the shallow part up to the mid-way, and a secondary pit 4 extending at the same gradient from the end part of the primary pit 3 to the deepest part. The starting part of the secondary pit 4 is positioned higher than the end part of the primary pit 3, and a pump 6 for sucking up the water from the end part of the primary pit 3 to the starting part of the secondary pit 4 is disposed.
