description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently feed a lubricating oil to the whole bearing surface in a thrust bearing. SOLUTION: The bearing surfaces of half-cut thrust bearings 2 constituting the thrust bearing are formed with oil grooves 7 at some intervals apart circumferentially and thrust relieves in the both ends. The bearing surface is provided with many fine grooves 9 communicated with the oil grooves 7 and the thrust relieves. The top of a projecting strip partitioning the mutual fine grooves 9 is formed into an arc projecting surface cross section. This thrust bearing allows the lubricating oil stored in the oil grooves 7 and the thrust relieves to enter into a lot of fine grooves 9 so as to feed the almost whole bearing surface. When a thrust collar 11 supported on the projecting strip 10 rotates, the lubricating oil is led into wedge-shaped clearances between them so as to be effective on the improvement of the abrasion resistance and the seizure resistance.
