Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door with a handrail allowing safe moving in and out without removing the handrail, when the handrail is installed in a place where a sliding window such as a double sliding window or a single sliding window is provided. SOLUTION: The sliding door includes a handrail provided on the meeting stiles of an inner sash, and a projecting member provided on at least one end of the meeting stiles of the inner sash. The handrail is rotatable between a horizontal position and a vertical position and is provided at each end with an engaging part for engaging a handrail fixing tool provided on a wall, a stile or a jamb. When the handrail is in the horizontal position, the projecting member projects and engages at least one of upper and lower frames; when the handrail is in the vertical position, the projecting member is retracted and disengaged form the upper or lower frame to enable the window to be opened or closed for passage.
