Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for manufacturing an optically anisotropic body, which generates no uneven drying and no repelling which are often generated in aligning a liquid crystalline compound by applying a solution of the liquid crystalline compound, and subsequently removing the solvent of the solution. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the optically anisotropic body is characterized, by adding 0.5-3 pts.wt. fluorine type surfactant in the solution of the liquid crystalline compound with respect to 100 pts.wt. liquid crystalline compound in aligning the liquid crystalline compound, by applying the solution of the liquid crystalline compound on a substrate surface subjected to alignment treatment, and subsequently removing the solvent of the solution.
