Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional image processing unit in which the reliability of a trace pattern has deteriorated, because there exists the possibility of falsification of the trace pattern, when the trace pattern superimposed on print data is discriminated. SOLUTION: A trace pattern generating section 45 generates the trace pattern, a data summation processing section 46 attaches the trace pattern to image data, and an encryption processing section 48 encrypts the image data, to which the trace pattern has been attached and transmits the resulting image data to a recorder. Thus, it becomes difficult to discriminate the trace pattern from the image data and the trace pattern with high reliability can be provided.
