Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive fingerprint collation device easy to operate and easy to understand which allows a procedure for individual authentication according to the collation guidance of the finger collating device. SOLUTION: This device comprises a casing containing a prism 2a to be touched by a human's finger the flat part of which is partially exposed, a light source means 2c for emitting light to the finger touched to the flat part of the prism 2a, and an imaging means 2b for imaging the reflected light by the finger touched to the flat part to provide an image of the fingerprint of the finger. The peripheral part of the prism 2a in the casing is formed of a member transmitting the light from the light source 2c to the outside of the casing to use the light from the light source means 2c for the collation guidance for a user.
