SOLUTION: The cushion material to be used in receiving the object to be packaged in the packaging container is formed of a corrugated fiberboard. A storage space of the packaged object is formed of a bottom wall, an internal sidewall, and front and rear end walls. Cushioning spaces are formed of upper and lower spacer members, an external sidewall and an internal wall of a rising side face on both sides of the storage space. The cushion material is formed with a cushioning space on a lower part of the bottom wall by keeping the storage space forming members suspended by the internal wall of the rising side face. Since the members forming the storage space are kept suspended and in addition cushioning spaces are formed around the storage space and on its lower part to cushion the drop impact, damage of the packaged object due to the drop impact can be eliminated or remarkably reduced.
