Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monomer composition which is suitable for preparing a plastic material which has high refractive index and Abbe number and a low specific gravity and is excellent in properties such as dyeability and resistances to heat and impact. SOLUTION: This monomer composition comprises 10-70 wt.% compound represented by the formula (1): CH2=CR1-CO2-(CH2CH2O)x-(CO2)y-Ph-(O2C)y-(OCH2 CH2)z-O2C-R1C=CH2 (wherein R1 is H or methyl; Ph is phenylene; (x) and (z) are each an integer of 1-5; and (y) is 0 or 1) and 30-90 wt.% compound represented by formula (2) (wherein (n) is an integer of 1-4; R2 is phenylene or biphenylene; and R3 is hexamethylene, 2,2,4-trimethylhexamethylene, 2,4,4- trimethylhexamethylene, 4,4'-dicyclohexylmethylene, m-xylylene, m- tetramethylxylylene, isophoronylene, or 1,4-cyclohexylene). |
