description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a printing play machine by making an input pen for drawing not broken or lost when the pen is placed in a penholder, and by making the machine transit to the next mode by placing the input pen in the penholder. SOLUTION: This machine displays the image taken by a digital camera by CRT. An input pen is used to draw on this image, and after the drawing is terminated, the input pen is put back to a penholder. This machine is so constituted that an electromagnetic coil is wound around the input pen, that the penholder is made of magnetic material, and that the machine has a reflection type optical sensor for detecting the input pen. When the input pen is placed in the penholder, it is detected and an electric current is conducted to the electromagnetic coil around the input pen, and the input pen is absorption- fixed magnetically to the penholder. The printing play machine also transits to the next mode by placing the input pen in the holder.
