ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary lock type electrical connector assembly without complicating a mold structure of its housing, and yet with a waterproof function. SOLUTION: The waterproof electric connector assembly is equipped with a cap connector enabling to plug in to plug connector. A cap connector housing is equipped with a front housing section 30 and a back housing section 60 of another body which has a shroud 61. Both the housing sections 30, 60 are attached with each other, and two secondary sliding lock plates 40, 50 are caught between them. Each secondary lock plate has projections 41 an 51 penetrating an opening 32 of the front housing section 30. The plug connector housing has a similar structure to it. A waterproof gasket is mounted in the plug connector and hooked to a lip of the cap connector shroud 61. An alignment plate 20 has a cam finger which guarantees that the secondary lock plates 40, 50 shift to the position of completion the insertion to a transverse direction at time of the insertion.
