Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in transmission loss by properly imparting a restraint to coated optical fiber tapes in a slot. SOLUTION: Solid particles are applied (made to stick by spike effect), with spaces apart in the longitudinal direction, on the surface of the coated optical fiber tapes 5, which are stored in a laminated manner in the outer circumferential slot 4 of a slot rod 3. The frictional coefficient on the surface (talc-applied surface) of the coated optical fiber tapes 5 increases by the spike effect of the solid particles, properly making the restraint greater against the move of the fiber tapes 5, and adequately suppressing the move. Further, the application not on the entire length but intermittently with spaces apart reduces the problem of generating microbend, in which optical fibers are minutely bent by talc particles. As a result, the proper restraint on the coated optical fibers is compatible with the prevention of increase in transmission loss due to the microbend. |
