FACSIMILE CONNECTABLE TO TELEPHONE SET WITH AUTOMATIC ANSWERING TELEPHONE FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile capable of automatically and easily setting the time of ringer ringing times up to facsimile reception start in an automatic answering telephone connection mode. SOLUTION: This facsimile provided with a pseudo ringer transmitting function, an automatic answering telephone response monitoring function and a number-of-ringer ringing times counting function transmits a pseudo ringer to a telephone set with an automatic answering telephone function connected to the facsimile with the pseudo ringer transmitting function, detects an automatic answering telephone response to the pseudo ringer with the automatic answering telephone response monitoring function, counts the number of pseudo ringer ringing times from the pseudo ringer transmission to an automatic answering telephone response with the number of ringer ringing times counting function, and automatically sets the number of ringer ringing times for starting facsimile reception in an automatic answering telephone connection mode on the basis of the count value.
